The DMP are currently part way through a project which extends the ornamental columns found in the Old Market Place through the central area of the Town.
The columns will house hanging baskets in the summer and Christmas lights during the festive season.
The project is being completed in stages to allow for funds to be raised to cover the cost.
The first columns were installed in July 2007 in Church Street, on the Roundabout and in the Market Place in Market Deeping.
When the project is complete it is hoped that columns will run from Church Street, through the Market Place and down to the junction of Horsegate and Bridge Street in Deeping St James.
