Welland Gardens

The DMP purchased a piece of unused and overgrown land adjacent to the River Welland in the Town Centre in 2005.
They worked to refurbish the land, aiming to create an area to sit, picnic and enjoy the river at one end, with the other end left to nature providing a habitat for an array of local wildlife and a place for wild flowers to flourish.
The DMP are still in the process of this refurbishment, and hope to have some seating and picnic furniture installed within the next few months.
The DMP have handed this land over to Market Deeping Town Council for the enjoyment of the people of the Deepings and visitors alike.
